Stopping So Far.......

Day 1 - The novelty, no major cravings although the much better half tells me that I came back from work agressive and spoiling for a fight...... quite true but was in no mood to discuss then
Day 2 - Using an Inhalator to see off most of the worst. Strangely I can notice a marked improvement already in my sense of smell and to a lesser extent - taste. Take great delight in telling current smokers I can smell them at a distance. Really brought home how much you smell (and don't care)
Out with the boys in the evening for an extended drink!! Couple of minor indiscretions but on the whole easier than I thought
Days 3/4 - Off camping with the family and friends - all non smokers so no temptation to hand. Left all my lighters/ matches at home deliberatly only to find out everyone else had suumed I would supply. A good laugh had by all and managed ignition via cigar lighter in the car!!
Day 5 - Bl**dy hard work. Major craving and totally tired. One to put down to experience. Good open chat with the other half cleared the air and relieved some of the tension that had been building!!
Day 6 - More of the same although Sharon had cooked me up Bacon and Eggs as a treat (and alternative to the local dish on offer!!) which perked me up no end. Big smiles for the rest of the night. Some wine later and bed.
Day 7 - Concentration has deserted me. Still tired and aching. Apparantly, this goes away soon. Only using 3 or 4 inhalator capsules per day. Not bad considering my habit takes my back to 1983 and for the last few years has been in the order of a packet a day. One of my colleagues has just hit the 4 week mark, and provides some welcome support.
Until Tomorrow.........
